Every photographer has a camera, and if you’re browsing online, the choices can feel endless.
I think what makes me different is the way I see people.

I’ve never been the loud, overly affectionate type myself, so I understand what it’s like to want beautiful, connected photos without feeling like you have to perform. Over the years, I’ve learned how to gently guide families so their connection feels natural, relaxed, and true to who you are — no forced smiles or big dramatic poses needed.

Growing up a middle child taught me how to read a room, ease tension, and bring people together. And when my kids were little, coaching numerous hockey teams showed me how to guide without pushing, encourage without overwhelming, and help people feel confident in what they’re doing. These skills shape everything about the way I photograph.

Years of work in the corporate communications world also means that I love a good process!
When you book with me, you’re not getting someone who hopes for the best. You’re getting someone who's super organise, who will walk you through all the planning and then take that mental load off you at the beach (or in studio), so you can relax and actually enjoy your session.

I’m an empty nester now, so I know how quickly the seasons pass. I know how precious it is to have real photos that remind you not just how your family looked, but how it felt. I photograph families because I understand that these images aren’t really for today.
     They’re for later.
     For when your kids grow up.
     For when they come home for Christmas.
   For when they sit on the couch flipping through an album and say, “Remember when we used
   to…?”
