The beach is the perfect place for family photos regardless of what age your kids are. From tots to teens everyone seems to relax when their toes hit the sand.
I love to shoot at Matapouri, Ocean Beach, Patau North or Waipu Cove, but we can shoot wherever your happy place is.

Don't forget that older kids love the beach too and just like the rest of us, I find they are so much more relaxed there! The Cross family opted for a cool and casual denim look which matched their family vibe to a tee!
From this session, the Cross family chose a beautiful 10 image Wall Collage and we had it framed in a light, natural oak to really show off the beachy images.

The Bowden family and their three gorgeous boys spent an energetic hour on the beach at Matapouri for their family session. This boho dress from my client wardrobe had Deborah feeling and looking just beautiful.
With 3 very active kids, we had a ball with the kids climbing, exploring and having fun with Mum and Dad to create special memories for their album.

I know what a phaff it is trying to organise prints, so you'll also find prices for framed prints, wall collages and albums if you would like me to take the hassle out of organising that for you.
1. Say Hello
When you have decided you would like to book a session, you'll book your Session Fee online via my Bookings Calendar. I'll be in touch to let you know exactly what happens next - which will include a contract and questionnaire you can fill in online for me.
Then we will book in our Zoom planning session. This is a quick 30 min session to answer any questions you have and chat about what you are all going to wear and wear we are going to photograph you all.
We'll talk about what you would like to do with your images once we have captured them and make a plan around which package suits you best.
For busy Mums, I have found this quick consult saves heaps of time for you to get the family ready. It means you can ask all your questions at once and we can get wardrobe sorted for everyone too!
2. let's plan your session
3. TEN DAYS prior to your session
You’ll receive an invoice for the package that you have chosen. This is due for payment before your session. (You are welcome to upgrade your package after you have seen your beautiful images).
I will be in touch to remind you of your session time, location and what to bring.
And I can help via text if you need any advice on outfits.
I will contact you on the morning of the shoot via text just to check in and we can make sure everything is good to go with the weather. (Because you know what Northland weather is like!)
Then it's time to have some fun and enjoy a relaxed hour on the beach with your family. I will guide you through the whole session so there's no need to worry about how to pose or getting the kids to look at the camera - that's all on me!
4. PHOTO SHOOT TIME
Grab the tissues and relive your session through my eyes!
I will be in touch to let you know that your proof gallery is ready to view. Your proof gallery has your images lighted edited and they are ready for you to select your favourites.
5. YOUR PROOF GALLERY
We'll set up a design & ordering session to view your images and select your favourites to be edited for your package.
At my home studio I have sample products for you to see and touch if you want me to take the hassle of printing off your hands.
I will send you an invoice for your final order and as soon as that's paid, I'll finish editing your final images and send any products you order off to the printers.
Print products usually take 4 - 5 weeks from the time we get the order in to arrive.
6. DESIGNING & ORDERING PRODUCTS
This is when you get to hold the beauty of your family in your hands.

7. DELIVERY TIME

Families on average, spend between $750 and $1,500 on their sessions (depending on whether you add on printed products).
