The beach is the perfect place for family photos regardless of what age your kids are. From tots to teens everyone seems to relax when their toes hit the sand.
I love to shoot at Matapouri, Ocean Beach, Patau North or Waipu Cove, but we can shoot wherever your happy place is.

Don't forget that older kids love the beach too and just like the rest of us, I find they are so much more relaxed there! The Cross family opted for a cool and casual denim look which matched their family vibe to a tee!
From this session, the Cross family chose a beautiful 10 image Wall Collage and we had it framed in a light, natural oak to really show off the beachy images.

BOHO VIBES IN LATE SUMMER
The Bowden family and their three gorgeous boys spent an energetic hour on the beach at Matapouri for their family session. This boho dress from my client wardrobe had Deborah feeling and looking just beautiful.
With 3 very active kids, we had a ball with the kids climbing, exploring and having fun with Mum and Dad to create special memories for their album.

Families on average, spend between $600 and $2,500 on their sessions, depending on whether they add a beautiful collage frame to display their images.

I will send you a Full Session Guide and Info Pack which goes over all the ways I work with you, to have you feeling relaxed and confident for your session.

1. Say Hello
Once you have decided you would like to go ahead and book in your session, let me know via email and we'll get things moving. We'll get a date confirmed and then I will invoice you for your Session Fee. Once that's paid, I will be in touch to book in your Zoom Planning Call.
This is a quick 30 min session to answer any questions you have and chat about what you are all going to wear. We'll also confirm the time and location for your session. We'll talk about what you would like to do with your images once we have captured them and make a plan around which package suits you best.
Busy Mums love these sessions for giving them the confidence to work out what everyone will wear. And it gives us a chance to "meet" so you feel way more relaxed when we meet in person at the beach for your session.

3. AFTER YOUR ZOOM PLANNING session
You’ll receive an invoice for the package that you have chosen. This is due for payment 10 days before your session.
Then a week out, I will be in touch to remind you of your session time, location and what to bring. And I can help via text if you need any last minute advice on outfit combinations.
I will contact you on the morning of the shoot via text just to check in and we can make sure everything is good to go with the weather. (Because you know what Northland weather is like!)
Then it's time to have some fun and enjoy a relaxed hour on the beach with your family. I will guide you through the whole session so there's no need to worry about how to pose or getting the kids to look at the camera - that's all on me!
4. PHOTO SHOOT TIME
Approx 3 weeks after your session, your gallery of gorgeous memories will be delivered to you via an online gallery.
You’ll be able to download your print and social media sized sets of digital images from this gallery.
5. ONLINE GALLERY DELIVERY
If you love more images than you have in the package you initially chose, then upgrades are available directly from within your gallery.
You’ll also be able to order gift prints from my professional print lab, directly from your gallery. This way you can feel confident that the quality of them will be perfect!
6. GALLERY upgrades
If you have chosen a collage frame, a wall gallery or an album, you have the option of visiting my home studio for a complimentary session to get everything organised.
I have sample frames and albums for you to look and we can chat about any tweaks you’d like made to edits before we send them to production..
7. PRINT PLANNING SESSION
Most of the families I photograph have their photos taken at one of our beautiful local beaches. I have several gorgeous locations I can suggest, depending on the age of your kids and the look and feel you would like for your photos. We'll go through sample galleries of various locations on our planning call to help you decide which location suits your family the best!

You can choose one of my beautiful client wardrobe dresses if you would like. Otherwise we'll use our planning call to work out the finer details of co-ordinating outfits for everyone from your own closets.
Q: WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Weekend dates book up really fast, especially over summer. So it's a good idea to reach out 2 -3 months ahead of when you are thinking of having your session.
