It might feel impossible to plan a maternity or newborn session right now, but one day you’ll be so thankful you did.
These photos will remind you how it felt to hold your baby close and begin this new chapter together.

Warm, friendly service, heartfelt images, and calm, supportive sessions where you’re guided every step of the way — that’s what you can expect when you book your maternity or newborn photos with me.

Choose from my beautiful collection of dresses designed to flatter your bump or flow effortlessly after baby arrives. Before your session, we’ll plan together so you feel confident and fully prepared — whether we’re capturing your quiet anticipation or your baby’s first precious days.

Throughout your session, I’ll gently guide you so you feel relaxed and at ease, helping you focus on the connection and emotion that make these moments truly special. From planning to selecting and framing your favourite images, I’ll be there to make the whole experience easy and meaningful.

Relaxed and fully guided portrait session either at the beach - or for newborn sessions, in my warm and modern home studio. 

Wardrobe + styling support so everyone feels confident and comfortable.

Private online gallery of high-res images to view, download, and share.

Access to your own online store for gift prints and frames.

Digital collections begin at $495

Families on average, spend between $650 and $1,500 on their sessions.

I will send you a Full Session Guide and Info Pack which goes over all the ways I work with you, to have you feeling relaxed and confident for your session.

It includes packages and pricing, plus a look at some of the beautiful printed products I can also arrange for you.  

1. Say Hello

Once you have decided you would like to go ahead and book in your session, let me know via email and we'll get things moving. We'll get a date confirmed and then I will invoice you for your Session Fee. Once that's paid, I will be in touch to book in your Zoom Planning Call.

This is a quick 30 min session to answer any questions you have and chat about what you are all going to wear. We'll also confirm the time and location for your session. We'll talk about what you would like to do with your images once we have captured them and make a plan around which package suits you best.

Busy Mums love these sessions for giving them the confidence to work out what everyone will wear. And it gives us a chance to "meet" so you feel way more relaxed when we meet in person at the beach for your session.

3. AFTER YOUR ZOOM PLANNING session

You’ll receive an invoice for the package that you have chosen. This is due for payment 10 days before your session.  

Then a week out, I will be in touch to remind you of your session time, location and what to bring.  And I can help via text if you need any last minute advice on outfit combinations.

I will contact you on the morning of the shoot via text just to check in and we can make sure everything is good to go with the weather. (Because you know what Northland weather is like!)

Then it's time to have some fun and enjoy a relaxed hour on the beach with your family. I will guide you through the whole session so there's no need to worry about how to pose or getting the kids to look at the camera - that's all on me!

4. PHOTO SHOOT TIME

Approx 3 weeks after your session, your gallery of gorgeous memories will be delivered to you via an online gallery.

You’ll be able to download your print and social media sized sets of digital images from this gallery. 


5. ONLINE GALLERY DELIVERY

If you love more images than you have in the package you initially chose, then upgrades are available directly from within your gallery.

You’ll also be able to order gift prints from my professional print lab, directly from your gallery. This way you can feel confident that the quality of them will be perfect!

6. GALLERY upgrades

If you have chosen a collage frame, a wall gallery or an album, you have the option of visiting my home studio for a complimentary session to get everything organised.

I have sample frames and albums for you to look and we can chat about any tweaks you’d like made to edits before we send them to production..

I have a lovely warm studio in my modern and light-filled home just off Whareora Rd, about 5 minutes from Whangārei.

FAQs 

I have a beautiful wardrobe of simple, flattering dresses which you can use for both maternity and newborn sessions. I also have a gorgeous range of soft knitted rompers and wraps for baby in natural, organic colours.

Q: WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?

I recommend maternity photos at around 30 weeks and newborn portraits at 8 - 10 days old. I only take a limited number of newborns per month so I have the flexibility to move sessions if baby arrives early (or late).

When you are around 20 weeks pregnant is a great time to reach out and book your session.

Q: HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I BOOK?

No, my style of newborn photography is much more relaxed. I will wrap baby but they spend the majority of the time in your arms with a short spell on the beanbag at the end. 

Q: DO YOU USE PROPS LIKE BOWLS & BUCKETS TO POSE BABIES IN FOR NEWBORN PHOTOS?

With two children of my own who have now flown the nest, I know just how fast this time goes. 

For me, it’s all about connection. I take the time to understand what matters most to you and your family, and I respect the little everyday moments that make your story unique.

From the moment you book, through outfit planning, the session itself, and finally receiving your images, I’m here to make everything easy and enjoyable. My goal is for you to feel relaxed, truly present with your family, and to walk away with photos you’ll treasure forever.
