A Newborn Session With Two Older Siblings

Newborn session with two older siblings by Whangārei photographer Tracey Morris

There’s a special kind of chaos that comes with welcoming a new baby into a busy family.

The days are full, the house is loud, and the idea of a newborn session can feel like a lot — especially with two energetic older boys in the mix.

What if no one sits still?
What if the baby won’t settle?
What if it all just feels too hard?

The truth is — this is completely normal.

You don’t need perfectly behaved kids or a perfectly calm baby for beautiful photos to happen.

You just need to show up.

I’ll gently guide you, keep things relaxed, and work around your family as you are — feeding breaks, wriggly toddlers and all — so nothing feels rushed or forced.

After their session, this Mum shared her thoughts on their session:

“Tracey recently did a newborn shoot for our family in her studio, and the photos she captured were simply remarkable. Everyone who has seen them has commented on how beautiful they are and how perfectly they capture the essence of our family.

We are quite camera-shy, but on the day of the shoot, Tracey made us feel completely at ease… She was wonderful with our newborn and incredibly patient with our two energetic boys… creating a fun and stress-free environment.”

That’s the transformation I care about most.

Not just beautiful images (although yes, you’ll absolutely have those).
But going from “I don’t know if this will work for us”…
to “I’m so glad we did this.” 💛
