One of the things I love most about maternity sessions is giving you a little variety without making things feel complicated — and that’s where having two outfits works beautifully.
For this Matapouri session, we started with a really relaxed, everyday look — a soft cream woollen jumper paired with jeans. The kind of outfit you’d actually wear on a slow afternoon with your family, which always photographs in the most honest, natural way.

Then partway through, we changed into something a little more special — a stunning caramel-toned sheer dress that couldn’t have suited her better. With her fair skin and gorgeous red hair, the tones just came together perfectly. It added that soft, feminine feel without losing the relaxed vibe of the session.

With a two-year-old in tow, the session naturally became about exploring, moving, and letting things unfold. We wandered between spots, followed her lead, and turned it into a little adventure rather than trying to keep her still. That’s always the key with little ones — keeping things flowing so it feels fun, not forced.

The result is a gallery that feels both real and a little bit magical — a mix of everyday moments and something a bit more elevated, all in one session.
